When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? Is the check engine light on? This sounds like it could be poor fuel flow due to a clogged filter or possibly a bad /plugged convertor or exhaust system. Would need to be tested for that with a pressure gauge in the O2 sensor port.

Yes the check engine light is on and no I haven't changed the fuel filter yet. I get a 420 read out the tester.

P0420 = Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
Could be a partially plugged system or a bad O2 after the cat. Would need further testing to determine the root cause.
