Do you

You should have it scanned for codes as that may not be the problem. Once it's replaced it won't work anyhow as it has to be programmed to your car.

Put a new A/C compressor in my car. Now the control panel for the AC/heat does not come on at all.

It sounds like you have a fuse that is out. Here is a guide to help you check the fuses for the system and a diagram (below)

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-test-light-circuit-tester

It could be the control head, check for power and ground.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

2000 Lincoln Town Car V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Please help me figure this out no heat in the winter sucks bad! Now ive seen that after the mayhem of this bad hookup job the filler door for gas wont open with the switch, the windshield wipers only work on high, the climate control dont work, the windows wont go up sometimes for a few mins, id say the screwed me! With the wipers and the EATC out, you'll need this car put on a scanner that can two way communicate with the modules, "B" codes will be present, in the mean time check fuses 1 and 6 inside the car. And if you can figure out what they tapped into to power it, post the info. Check accessory fuses 1 and 2 under the hood in the battery junction box.

https://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/62217_tc_1.jpg

If there is any life in the EATC Try this and post any codes displayed.
Run the self diagnostic test on it by turning the key to on, then press off and floor at the same time, then within 2 secs, press auto, If there is a problem a trouble code will appear on the display...To exit self test, press the BLUE, cooler button this also retains error codes, To erase code and exit, press defrost, choose one of these before you power down the system... Test with engine at 120 degrees or more, and cabin between 40-90 degrees.Post any codes recorded here and I let you know what's defective...

Lets take the negative battery cable off, remove the Circuit City parts, make sure the radio has all original connections, look in the trunk too, see if they used any new wire harnesses in there and remove them, and plug back into the manufactures plugs, then re attach the negative cable, then get back to me with the results.

Blower motor control. Use a meter to see if each of the pins to the blower motor are receiving power on different speed settings.

At this point you need to scan it for "B" codes, these may or may not turn on the check engine light.

  • 1999 LINCOLN TOWN CAR
I have a 1999 Lincoln Climate Control Problem in that after the car has run for a while the AC doesn't want to blow cold air through the dash ducts and it sounds as if the air is being obstructed and doesn't want to blow out of anywhere!

If I shut the system down or set it manually for the front ducts and send the temperature up to 90 then back down to 70 it will then work properly for a while then the same problem happens again!

I'm thinking either the climate control module is bad and loosing vacuum or could it be a blend door or something else wrong?

Thanks,
Dave

I don't think that it would be a filter problem since when the air is directed throught the ducts it seems OK.

It just won't continue to flow through the dash after a while!

Please foward the details on how to pull the codes.

Thanks again,
Deputy Lynch
