1997 Lincoln Town Car V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 160k miles

while driving I noticed black smoke coming out of exhaust. In 6 miles it blew out 2qts of oil. The temp gauge remained the same. Upon inspection I found NO oil of the block but it seemed to be coming from the top section on the drivers side over the starter. I can not find the source because of the space. Have any ideas?

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,
You will need to have the engine washed down and re fill the oil, after a short run you should be able to see any fresh leaks, I would be suspecting a rocker cover gasket, check this out first.
