k now I turned my key to start it n all I heard was a loud squell n also when I did that my engine didnt even budge, now is that the starter not catching or what?

STARTER IS WORKING, SOUNDS LIKE THE TEETH ON THE FLYWHEEL ARE WORN. 2 GET STARTED DISCONNECT BAT, RAISE CAR,CHOCK WHEELS,PUT IN NEUTRAL, TURN CRANK BY HAND, THEN START CAR, HAVE FLYWHEEL CHECKED OR REPLACED. SOMETIME A NEW STARTER WILL WORK AS LONG AS TEETH ON FLYWHEEL R NOT BROKEN, DONT USE SHIMS ON NEW STARTER UN LESS THEY
