2005 Kia Sportage MY Kia WILL JUST SHUT OFF IF I AM MAKING

II just bought this car 2 weeks ago and it is still under factory warranty. In 2 weeks I have gone to pull into a parking place AND THE CAR JUST SHUTS OFF! DEAD, I can start it right up again BUT THIS IS NOT "NORMAL" I HAVE ONLY HAD THE CAR 2 WEEKS AND I AM SCARED IT IS GOING TO LEAVE ME ON THE ROAD, The service department at my dealership is closed on Sautrday of all days so I need to find a Kia dalership and tell them "what" is happening, I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME UNTIL I READ YOU EMAILS FROM PEOPLE. WHAT COULD THIS BE? HOPEFULLY IT IS COVERED UNDER THE 5 YEAR OR 100,000 MILE WARRANTY. ANY HELP YOU CAN OFFER WOUD BE MPST APPRECIATED!

Thank you for the donation.

The engine stalling is most probably due to the idlng system and should not be a major problem

Considering the mileage of the vehicle, there is a possiblilty it could be due to some vacumn leakages such as dislodged hoses.

Did the Check Engine Lamp show while driving?

As to whether it is under warranty would depend on what is causing the fault and you need to send it to Kia to find out.

I went to consumer affairs. Com AND EVERYONE IS HAVING HE SAME ISSUE. ALSO THE CARS ARE CATCHING ON FIRE! THEY HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIPS MANY TIMES AND NO MECHANIC CAN FIGURE OUT "WHAT"IS WRONG WITH THE CARS OR "WHY" THEY ARE STALLING. One lady had the same PART REPLACED 3 TIMES! I just bought this car 2 week ago and called them tonight and told them "I AM BRINGING THIS CAR BACK"! I AM NOT GOING TO DIE IN A CAR I BOUGHT FROM YOU! THE CAR STALLED AGAIN THIS MORNING WHILE GOING 45 mph. II CAN NOT GET OVER ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS AND RECALLS ON THIS AUTO! IF I CAN GET ANOTHER MAKE AND TURN THIS ONE BACK IN.I AM GOING TO DO IT. ONE OF THE RECALLS IS FUEL LEAKING OUT AND CATCHING THE CAR ON FIRE! MY LIFE IS NOT WORTH THIS CAR. WISH ME LUCK. Kandi Also on Consumer Affairs one mechanic had replaced what you are saying is wrong and it still stalls all the time?

Hi Kandi.

So it should be a technical fault that Kia is unable to handle at the moment.

As to fuel leaking, it could be a different issue.

If the problem can be solved, it would be good.
