1999 Jeep Wrangler Sahara AC Not Working

I have a 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sahara and the AC is not working. I am not sure if it is the compressor, lack of referigerant, etc. I plan on taking it to a shop on Tuesday. Any tips before I go? Can I replace the refrigerant myself?

By the way, the fan works, all cotrols, etc. Just no cool air.

Could possibley be a leak yes it is possible for you to recharge the system yourself assuming thats whats wrong but you will need special tools and a recycling machine I would just let the shop handle this one
