So you are saying that you have power to the coil, but no spark. Does the opposite side of the coil flash when cranking the engine? If not is could be the crank or cam angle sensors

I cleaned the the connector on the firewall, now getting 10.5 volts across the BOARD, good resitence, and splicing in new wire. Does the wire have to be solid strand? I am putting in braided wire 14 gage. Does this year JEEP have them SENSORS? LET me know on this ASAP Thanks AP!

IS the existing wire solid? Should be ok with what you are going to use. Should have a "Hall Effect" switch in the distributor, have seen many of them fail

I think we we might beon the right TRACK, what is that switch you were talking about, never heard of it!This is the SSI type of ignition (MOPAR) WHAT else can be checked, is the voltage OK with U? I have quite an investment in this rebuild, I am putting in the GRANNETLI LOW resitance wires, is this a good MOVE?

If the opposite side of the coil isnt flashing, then it isnt getting signal from the dist. I would use OEM wires, the resistance is figured into the ignition system as far as comp controlled dwell and the such goes. Test across the Orange and Violet wires at the dist plug. If resistance is between 400-800 ohms repair harness between 3wire and 4 wire connectors, if resistance is still out of spec, replace pick up coil in dist

I have replaced the distrubutor, relay, module, starter, have a MSD blaster coil installed. Like I said voltage has increased to 10.5 volts, is it normal for the coil to get HOT? R we there YET?

Like I said previously, most ignition parts have been R and R'rd, so the GRANETELLI wires would be a NO/NO? What else///////// any sensors for this1988 JEEP that would prevent it from STARTING? Thanks.1 upset WOODY OWNER ACE!
