I cant reach spark plug #1 as the a/c compressor seems to be in the way. I can reach it with an extension, but im afraid to apply pressure. Do I have to remove the compressor to get to this plug? How difficult will it be to get the belt back on at the correct tension?

You should be able to get it with an extension. Why are you worried about applying pressure on it?

Hello. I was able to remove it with the adjustable extension. I was afraid to apply pressure because they were sort of stuck and I didnt want to strip it out. I have no idea how long those plugs were in there.

I understand. Did you use a swivel to get to it or a wobble extension? Did that help?

As far as how long they have been in, I have see cars with well over 100K with the original ones. They wern't running to well, but still going.
