Powertrain Control Module is-On right side of firewall.

REMOVAL

USE THE DRB SCAN TOOL TO REPROGRAM THE NEW POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) WITH THE VEHICLES ORIGINAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (VIN) AND THE VEHICLES ORIGINAL MILEAGE. IF THIS STEP IS NOT DONE, A DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) MAY BE SET.

The PCM is located on the cowl panel in right/rear side of engine compartment.

The PCM is located on the cowl panel in right/rear side of engine compartment.

To avoid possible voltage spike damage to PCM, ignition key must be OFF; and negative battery cable must be disconnected before unplugging PCM connectors.

Disconnect negative battery cable at battery.
If equipped, remove Transmission Control Module (TCM) .
Remove coolant reserve/overflow tank.
Remove cover over electrical connectors. Cover snaps onto PCM.
Carefully unplug three 32-way connectors at PCM.

Remove three PCM bracket-to-body mounting nuts.
Remove PCM/PCM bracket assembly from vehicle.

Remove 3 PCM-to-PCM bracket bolts (screws).
