Replace heater hoses?

How difficult is it to replace heater hoses on this4.0 6cyl engine and can I use 5/8 hose?

Hello,

Replacing heater hose is a straight forward process. Typically the factory hoses are attached with push style clamps, that can be taken off using a plier.
Many time you can use any coolant approved hose as long it is the correct size.
However some of the heater hoses are pre-molded, and on those you will need to use the correct style hose other wise you might have a kink and issue with coolant flowing through.
You can take off one of the hoses off or your vehicle and just measure the diameter so you will know exactly what size it is.
