Check engine light code 54 camshaft sensor?

This jeep throws a code 54 camshaft sensor circ. Code intermittently and causes the vehicle to stumble, stall and sometimes no start. This jeep does not have a camshaft sensor and never had one. Have replaced crank sensor didn't make difference. Any service bulletins regarding this problem? Or am I tracing down electrical problem?

Yes you do have a camshaft sensor inside distributor.

Your car is ODBII so it can be scanned instead of Flashing MIL. HEre is a guide to help
