1996 Jeep Cherokee check engine light, oil pressure

The check engine light in my jeep came on yesterday and the oil pressure gauge is reading low. As soon as my jeep goes down to an idle, it dies. I've had no issues with it and this started happening with no warning. Any ideas as to what the problem could be?[/quote:dbfb0ae491]


as for the oil pressure I would start by replacing the oil pressure switch
cycle key three times on off ending with the key on
read p#### codes IN ODOMETER AREA
