1999 Jaguar XK8 Won't start, no diagnostics showing

Engine Performance problem
1999 Jaguar XK8 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 88000 miles

I have had no problems at all, parked it, then an hour later it would not start or even turn over. I have checked the fuses, replaced the battery, kept battery disconnected for 30 minutes, swapped out the starter relay, tried to start it in neutral.... nothing? lights, radio etc all work, but engine will not start? HELP

Thanks

Hi dprocter,

Thank you for the donation.

Here is the starting schematic for your understanding.

After remocing the starter relay, test for presence of battery voltage at terminal # 1 and # 3. If voltage is not available, check Fuse # 5 ( 10 A ) for terminal # 1 and Fuse # 3 for terminal # 3.

If battery voltage is present at both terminals, use a fused jumper wire, intermittently connect terminal # 3 and # 5. If starter does not crank, either the wire to starter from relay is open or the stater has failed.
