The seller is saying that it sounds like the wheel beaing is going bad. What is that and is that serious? They saiid it should only cost $280 to repair. Is this true? Im thinking about buying this vehicle for $4K. Is this a good price? How long will it last me? Do Isuzu Rodeo's have a history of bad transmissions? I need the vehicle to last me about 5-6yrs. Do you recommend I move forward? Please help and thanks so much!

That is the correct for repalcement of hub bearing. I would strongly recommend having truck checked out by mechanic before purchasing. Even if it costs to have it checked out you can save yourself alot of hassle if you find a severe problem before you buy vehicle. I check cars out for my customers all the time and I would say about 50 percent of the time I find a big problem or make them aware of future problems that will arise.

$280.00 for a wheel bearing is not a bad price. But, from a buyers stand point, I would get a second opinion to make sure it's not something else. If you are working with a dealer or private party my first question is; why haven't they fixed the bearing to make the vehicle more saleable? $4K is reasonable. You could check to see what the same vehicles are selling for in your area. How long will the car last you? Depends a lot on how the vehicle was maintained, and how you maintain it. Obiously, if your flying down the freeway and slam it into a bridge abutment, it's not going to last you very long.
