I have a 2000 rodeo isuzu, purchased new. I just had my transmission rebuild and it is still stalling sometimes and the rpm goes up high when the accelerator is pressed. My check engine light was coming on before the transmission was rebuild. After the rebuild transmission the check engine light was suppose to be corrected and stop coming on, but it didn't come on about 2 days and started coming on again. The mechanic stated he changed the wires that was causing the check engine light to come on and also the same wires were having the car stall on acceleration. Would the wires cause a problem with both of these or what could be the problem? Please edvise

The autual fault code is P0401, EGR flow detected. My car broke down again and the mechanic stated that the rpm was idling up to high and that the transmission was getting to hot so he installed some type of pipe for exhaust. He stated that some of the cars need them and some don't. Does this sound ok also?

HI there, he may have re[placed the EGR valve, this is a valve that re directs part of the exhaust back into the induction for re burning, if you can get some more precise information on what they did that will help.
