TRANSMISSION HARD SHIFT?

Hi, my 2003 santa fe' transmission starting make some noise last week, 2 days ago starting hard shift from 1 to 2, 2 to 3 gears. Bring it to dealer, they said no error found, internal damaged, need to replace the trasnmission. Can anyone help on it? Thanks a lot!

Hello,

Any time you have the transmission shifting hard, the first thing needs to be check is the fluid.
Make sure it is at correct level and in good/clean condition.
If the fluid checks out, then the issue could be due to a internal fault.
Like faulty shift solenoid or the valve body needs to be replaced.
If the internal fluid pressure is low then it can trigger hard shifting as well.

Is your check engine light illuminated? Many times with transmission shifting issues the engine light gets triggered.
