1999 Hyundai Elantra car does not start

1999 Hyundai Elantra 4 cyl 62500 miles

I replaced the battery as having problems starting. Well it still has a problem starting. There are times it starts and another time it does not start. When trying to start the engine revs like it wants to turn over but it does not. Last time I drove it I stopped at light and it died and would not start up. I was pushed off to the side 15 minutes later car started up.

Here is the dilemma I do not want to keep putting money in this car to try to fix it as it is a 2nd car and it has a salvaged pink slip. If I knew it was one thing I would fix it but I do not want to go thru a series of repairs to pay for something that it is not worth it.

Thank you

Just thought I would let you know that you were right on the problem of the ignition system. The crank sensor was replaced and running great.

Thanks
