Could the fuel pressure regulator cause the van to stall only when first taking off. It seems the fuel line gets air in it when the engine is off for a few minutes. When you start it and try to take off right away, it sputters a bit; after that it runs get. Is there a check valve of sorts. Note: this problem started to appear occassionally after the transmission was rebuilt and an oxygen sensor changed. The transmission company said it is not their problem.

Hi Hondaman7,

Yes, the fuel pressure regulator can contribute to such a problem.

Was the O2 sensor replaced OEM or after market? After market O2 sensors can cause the problem as well if it is not reading the correct spec.
