The past 3 days my driver side turn signal and lights both front and back have been blinking fast. The Passenger side is just fine. I replaced the fuse, but the problem persists. I've had the car for more than a year now and there was no problem until now. The bulbs both work and flash fast at the same time. What should I do to fix it?
Thanks for your help

Before spending money on new bulbs, try switching both sides, left to right. If, even after the bulb switch the driver side is blinking fast, then you need to replace the flasher unit. If the passenger side is blinking fast, replace the bulbs.

So my right turn signal is flashing very fast and the left side seems to flash normally. The right side will slow down when the headlights are on or when the brakes are depressed, but clearly their 'on' time is not normal. All lights front and back are lit (including running lights and brake lights). I've replace the double filiment bulbs in front with no sucess & cleaned the ground connection in front with no sucess. Emergency flashers work fine. Occassionally the left turn signal will not work when initally turned on, but most of the time they work without hesitation and at the proper speed. I've looked at the Haynes electrical scemetic and it appears the relay is a signal pole relay that should work identically regardless of side it's servicing. So now I'm confused, could this failure mode be an indication of a bad relay or should I be chasing a different problem area?

Try this, turn right signal lever on. Go outside the and check visually which among the the three right signal bulbs is not blinking, The front, side, rear? Clean connectors and check bulb resistance. Replace any connector or bulb that is defective.

I just changed a rear signal bulb and it's blinking faster than the other one. It's not blinking super fast, which tipped me off that it needed to be changed. Should I just change the other one also?

I took it in and had the front one changed since I couldn't get to it. That solved the problem.

I would suspect a faulty turn signal / hazard relay. The hazards and turn signals both run off of the same relay. It is located behind the left side of the dash, on front of the underdash fuse/relay box.

Hi appleskid,

Check the ground circuit for the rear RH taillight. It is bad and not providing sufficient ground for the brake circuit and it is using the turn signal circuit as ground.
