Hi there, I own a 2000 honda civic EX I bought this car from a friend who had a friend install this aftermarket tachometer, and that was fine. But like yesterday I was trying to set the shifter settings and the thing acted like I had depressurized it. I don't believe it to have pressure but that's what it's like. The tachometer still works but it's way behind the stock tachometer. Any ideas on what's wrong and how to fix it?

The tachometer is 500 to 1000 rpm's behind my stock tachometer, and it wont let me set a shift point anymore either

I don't think I can be of much help as I do not know the constrction and functions of the clip-on tachometer.

Check if there are any settings for number of cylinders and if it had be mistakenly adjusted to a different number of cylinder specifiations.
