My civic has been running pretty good up untill now. I was driving and it slowly cut off with a little struggle while I was moving with a whole lot of white smoke out of the muffler. Whats the problem?

Have your cylinders compression tested. I think your head gasket has blown?

Headgaskets were semi-common on higher mileage obd1 honda engines.

A quick home test would be to open your rad cap, if the coolant is over-flowing/bubbling or you see exhaust smoke, you have a major problem. However, the only real way of knowing is to have a leakdown test/compression test done.
