my engine has been over heating for the past few omnths and I checked everything and finnaly founf out that the water pump/ timeing belt was snapped I was wondering how would I go about changing that? I think I might know but I need to make sure so I dont mess anything up thanks fo the help!

Hi logan999,

If the timing belt had snapped, the engine would not have started.

The overheating must be another problem which could be due to a weak water pump, coolant leakage, clogged radiator or hoses, stuck thermostat etc.

Changing timing belts requires some skills and if you don't have any idea, best to have it done by some who knows it. If the timing had snapped, there is a possibility the valves might be affected even though it is not supposed to.
