Hi I have a 1989 honda civic lx the fan recently went out and I didnt know about it it never says it is overheating and then yesterday I was driving and got out of the car and heard a sound like bioling liquid, I drove it to the store about a mile down the road and drove back home and steam was coming from my hood really bad and I opend the hood and water or antifreeze was spraying everywhere, I bought a fan from a junkyard and the radiator dosent look like its leaking I think it might be a hose, is this a big deal any adivse to fix it would help thanks alot

Hi there,

The first thing you need to do is get the cooling system pressure tested for any external leaks, any work shop can do this, it takes only a few Minuit's to do.

Yes this is a big deal. Do not drive the vehicle with low or leaking coolant.

You will need to have a coolant pressure test done if you cannot find where the leak is coming from.

Big deal dude. If you have that problem never drive it. Let it be tested first. Your lucky your engine is still intact.
