Ventilation

The other day all air flow from my vents stopped working? Is there a fuse that just needs to be replaced or is it something much bigger than that? My car is a 1989 Honda Accord with 397000 kms. Could it maybe just be that the car is just dying! Thanks so much.

Does the circulation fan still work? I would look at the knob to ensure it engages and is not slipping and then I would look at the linkage that selects air direction from the heater plenum.

I've looked in my owners manual to try and see which fuses are which but it doesn't tell me. How do I know which fuse to change? Thanks.

First find the fuse locations. There are fuses either under the dash on the driver side or on the end or ends of the dash by the door. There are also fuses under the hood in the engine compartment.

When you pull off the cover there will be a diagram of the fuses and the basics of what they are for. Now that does not make it any easier. But as a last resort, pull out everyone and inspect it. When you find the culprit, replace it with a fuse of the same amperage.

Thank you so much I will try that and see if it works. I mean I don't expect much from my car because she's so old but I only hope shes lasts another 100 000! Thanks again, I really appreciate all your help.
