Engine stutters on acceleration

I have a 1994 accord lx 2.2 non v-tec with 120000 miles. When you accelerate the car it sputters turns on the check engine light and oil light then the car shuts off, but it doesn't do it in reverse. I just had the heads rebuilt new starter, cap rotor, computer and distributer. I'm stumped.

Get the codes pulled. This might be a plug or plug wire problem. It might be an EGR valve as well.

I also forgot the guages go crazy and the check engine light doesn't stay on so I can't scan the codes. Checked the egr valve and cleaned. Still the same problem. Should I replace the egr valve or sensor.
