2004 Honda Accord radiator cooling fan runs after car is sh

After the car is shut off intermitantly the radiator cooling fan comes on and does not shut off, if I turn the key, not start the car just turn the key to turn on the electronics and then turn it off, the fan will shut off, sometimes I have to turn the key several times. Is there a tempeture switch or sensor that gets flakey and causes this problem? Thanks

IF you were to let the fan stay on, how long will it run. I might try swapping the relay for the cooling fan with another to see if the symptoms change.

Ideally a scanner should be hooked up to monitor the temperature and see if it hits the point that is should shut off correctly.
