1999 Honda Accord Front Wheel Drive Automatic 111000 miles

I have a 1999 honda accord. Since 95,000 miles it has been using oil. Currently it burns about 2 quarts every 3000 miles. Honda dealerships said this was normal for a honda. It is a 2.3 liter vtec engine. I have owned it since 01, and it had 40,000 miles when I bought it.

Hi there,

This is a bit excessive, if my maths is correct that equals about 2 litres per 5,000 km give or take. I wold not accept that as normal, What oil are you using 10W-30, 20W-50? Is there any blue smoke when you start up? What about when driving and when you back off the throttle? Any oil under the car? We have to work out wher it is going first.
