Abs light

Brakes problem
1998 Honda Accord 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 57220 miles

Dear Sirs,

I recently purchased a Honda Accord coupe 1998 model and noticed the ABS light coming on. This came on when I test drove the car and was informed that it was only the censor. Now it has appeared, I'm wondering if it is more serious than I thought. My mechanic said that one of the discs was distorted / buckled but could not test the ABS was of the machines they use. Once the new front discs are fitted, do you think this would sollve the light coming back on and if not, would I have to go to an approved Honda dealer.

Regards Ian.

Hi noodles1,

Get a scan done to find out what is causing the ABS to show. The error code would inform you what is at fault.

You can try by bridging the SCS and counting the flashes to see what is the problem.
