Hi prlafalaise,

Drain power steering fluid. Remove steering "U" joint cover. Disconnect steering "U" joint from steering gear. Raise and support front of vehicle. Remove front wheels. Remove tie rod cotter pins. Partially loosen tie rod castle nuts. Using Ball Joint Remover (07MAC-SL00200 ), disconnect tie rods from steering knuckles. Remove castle nuts and separate tie rods from steering knuckles.

Disconnect left side tie rod end and slide rack completely to right. Remove catalytic converter. Disconnect oxygen sensor. Disconnect shift linkage (M/T). Disconnect power steering lines from steering gear valve body and plug openings. Remove stiffener plate.

Remove steering gear right mounting brackets. Slide unit to right until left side of steering gear clears frame. Lower left side of steering gear and remove steering gear from vehicle.
