1995 Honda Accord sudden acceleration

I have a 95 accord v6 automatic. This problem onl occurs in reverse. As soon as it is placed in reverse the honda accelerates hard. I can slip it up into neutral and the rpms fall. But as soon as I return it into reverse it just wants to go with no foot on the gas pedal.

Hi jmotorsports,

Check the brake booster hose between the manifold and pipe attached to firewall for cracks. It should be bad allowing vacumn leakages when shifting into reverse. The rear engine mount is most probably bad too.
