When you start the car and begin to drive, it feels like it doesn't have power or want to go, if you push the gas pedal harder as to speed up. Also at times I smell like burnt rubber but checked the trans and oil fluid and their fine. The oil light flashes off and on sometimes to. Its not rite now, but it has. I'm so confused! Any ideas to diagnose before I spend money I don't have to find the problem? It's a great car and been kept up!

Hi dolphingirliegirl,

Lack of power could be due to
1. Spark plugs.
2. Clogged fuel filter.
3. Plug wires.
4. Ignition timing out of adjustment.
5. Bad throttle body.

Check the basics first, ie, spark plugs etc.
Check the engine oil level for the oil indicator light flashing at times.
