1990 Honda Accord speedometer

We had to change the altenator, which really was bad, but while getting it in garage the speedometer went to 70 then to 130. Now that the altenator is all installed and everything works. The speedometer is still flipped. Will it go back or do we need to do something to flip it back.

Problem solved. Use a strong magnet and flip it back around. (Scarey thought. My wife came up with this) A speaker has just the kind you may need. Bust it apart.
Thanks for the other suggestion, when the altenator was failing I had watched it act stupid.
