1989 Honda Accord Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200000 miles

1989 Honda Accord check engine light always on, and the car will roll a bit, but wont start, sounds like the battery is dead. Engine light has always been on, but now the battery sounds like its dead.

Lets get a high rate discharge test on the battery and see if it holds up 9.6 volts in 10secs if not it needs replacing.

When car is cold it starts and runs fine and the engine light is off. When it starts to warm up the engine light comes on and the idle speed goes to about 1100 rpms then when you shut it off and try to restart it, it cranks over and catches but dosent start till the 2nd crank, and it seems better if you wait till the fuel pump kicks out, but it seems to still run good.
