Transmission problem
1986 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive

please what could be wrong with my gearbox, it is an authomatic Honda 86 Accord. In the morning it wont just engage in gear until I turned it off and on for sevral times before it will finally picked, it select fine but it is just to move on that gear one. Sometime it will disengage itself from gear as I move. Thanks

Hi Adebayo Samuel,

Looks like you need a new transmission. The tran is leaking inernallly and would not engage until the fluids warms up but is still slipping and not working correctly.

Check the fluid level, if it is low, it can cause the problem as well.
