Hi Ken. I want to thank you for your replies and expertise so far.

Thanks for the windshield advice, noticed some areas where water definitely seeps in. Will sort that soon.

Please shed further light on me with some new problems that arised after the car came back from electrician.

So remember the problem it initially had before going there? (No starting, erratic idle, switching off. Also accelerator pedal did not respond). Changed the blown control module and that sorted out starting and idling problem. It now has no power, when I drive in low revs it hesitates very much unless I rev a bit harder. On higher revs and faster speeds it still does not feel normal but the car moves okay. I changed plug leads last night, took it for a test and still hesitates a lot at take off?

Furthermore, I noticed a water leak coming from something that sits just behind the thingy that the plug leads come out of? I do not know if that is the coil? But the leaking thing is behind what I think is the coil. (Video attached) Please tell me what this is called and how the leak can be fixed?

This trial and error is draining the pocket but I guess there is no other way.

Look forward to hearing from you again.

Hello,

Thanks for the video. It is hard to tell form the video where the part is that is leak is located. also, can you film about the part to make sure coolant is not leaking from above and dripping on it. Trial and error is sometimes the only way. We will get through it though.

I believe your car has a timing belt correct? If so lets pull one spark plug and do a compression test. this will tell us if the camshaft has jumped a tooth.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

Hi,

Thank you, I will try film the part later and post it. I do know the radiator has coolant leaking somewhere but not enough to cause overheating. I used to top up every four days or so. Now with this new leak I top up daily. Seems like some flange or perhaps thermostat housing? Not sure where those are located.

Yes, mine is timing belt, but do not think I will manage the compression test myself. Will have to let someone have a look at it. Yeah, thanks I guess trial and error Is the only way.

Tell me, can a misfiring car cause the EPC light to come on? And then at times no throttle but then lift foot and drop again then it goes?

Oh yes a misfire can cause it. I wanted to ask when have you installed a new set of spark plugs?

Oh okay thank you. I changed plugs in January, and now that you mentioned it. It started missing about 4 weeks after I serviced (changed plugs too). But the intermittent non- response from accelerator pedal is still there and was there prior to service too. Seems to have no power on pull away and gear 2. Once on 3000 revs and above it goes kind of normal. Things that's starting to look obvious to replace is either 1-accelerator pedal or 2-throttle body.

Both of these items have high replacement intervals and can fail intermittently.
