Are you setting any codes in the computer? You could have a coil starting to go bad.

I had a check engine light on had catalytic converter clogged. It was fixed so the check engine was turned off. The SUV had a hesitation problem with the catalytic converter problem also. This was told to mechanic. I changed air filter, but problem has not stop.
