Fan out. Overheats, stalls then it takes forty five minutes to restart. Dropping off at shop today, no highway. Denver is hoovering at 95 degrees in the shade. Someone said to turn on heater. Stalled out in ten minutes. Trick to slow down this process?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com.

Turning the heater on does help slow the process because the heater core is like a small radiator which adds additional cooling for the motor? If that is not helping, the problem needs identified and repaired. The engine produces heat when it runs. We cannot stop that.

You mentioned that you plan to drop it off for repair. If you decide to tackle the issue yourself, let me know and we can work through it together.

Wish I could help more.

Take care,
Joe
