Hi, my daughter was driving on the freeway and the car just stopped running and would not restart. The car had been working fine up until then, and none of the guages or red lights came on to warn of a problem. The engine turns over when you turn the key but it will not start. I think the battery is fine and the gas tank is full. I am thinking the next step is to check for gas and spark but I'm not sure where to begin or what to check. Can you help?

If it dies while being driven on the freeway, it is most likely fuel-related. I would start with the fuel filter, if it hasn't been replaced lately. Also check the fuel pump relay, under the hood close to strut tower near the driver side firewall. If that is good, it may be your fuel pump.
