97 GMC Yukon SLT 128K, 350. I am replacing the in tank fuel pump on my Yukon but can't disconnect the lines to lower it enough. Purchased the on-line manual and of course no help, another $30 bucks. Can anyone tell me how to get the tank out specifically disconnecting necessary lines without destroying them. The front one appears to have a locking clip on it but is not being cooperative and I would rather not break it. I am under the truck now.

Disconnec the fuel filler lines, the little breather line and the fuel in and out. Take off any wire ties on the fuel out and fuel return lines and disconect at the nearest place probably the fuel filter or fuel rail if you can get to it good and it should slide back then you can have some room to get at it. If it has the little plastic clips that are standard usually hey come wiht new ones use a screw driver to push them up or slip the screw driver in the top and pull up while pushing in the plastic bottom clips with your fingers.
