2003 GMC Yukon Fuel Problem

My Yukon will drive all the way down to empty if I'm on a long trip. However, if it has less than half a tank of fuel and sits overnight in the driveway, the fuel pump will not pick up the fuel. I have to put a few gallons in to bring it back up to half a tank before it will start. The fuel guage is not the issue.

First check fuel pressure 52-62 psi also fuel filter less than 30k ? When you remove gas cap do you hear air escaping/

Actually, it has 165,000 miles but when I entered my information it would not take the last digit.

When I open gas cap I do not hear air escaping.
