2003 GMC Sierra Stalling on Turns

2003 GMC Sierra V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

We bought this vehicle used and it started this problem about a year after we purchased it. Whenever you make a hard turn it stalls. We've replaced the battery and the fuel filter at this point, but it still has this problem. I looked to see if there was a recall b/c it seems that many ppl have this problem with GMC and Chevy trucks from about 1999 on. No recall (not surprised, really).

Anyway -- what's causing this and how do I fix it.

Does it only stall when it is idling and you turn the wheels?Try removing the air intake and having someone hold it wide open, then clean around the inside of the throttle bore with carb cleaner and a rag, this will help stabilize the idle.

I noted y'day that it stalled when I went into park. This was after we had replaced the fuel filter. I will try your previous recommend when hubs gets home. If that doesn't work, I will hit you up again. Thanks for the fast response.
