1999 GMC Sierra Turn singals and brakes

Why do my turn signals stop flashing when I hit the brakes, I have all ready changed the brake light switch.I also had a new bumper ( front ) put on about a month ago.

Which ones quit flashing, front, rear? Might be a problem with multifunction switch, can't be sure. I wouldn't replace anything without being sure. There is a fuse that supplies turn voltage to the multifunction switch. When you activate the turn signals, there are two more fuses, one for right and then left. I'd start by using a voltage tester on the fuse circuits, when you activate right or left. Your owners manual should give the fuse labels and locations. If you need help, holler.

The turn signals both front and rear stop flashing. Its like you turnned them off. But as soon as yo let off the brake they work again. The brake lights do work like they should
