My car will not start

I HAVE A 1987 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS CIERRA 93,945MI WHEN I TRY TO START MY CAR IT DOES NOTHING AT ALL THE INTERRIOR LIGHTS WONT EVEN COME ON. BUT WHEN I GOT A JUMP THE CAR STARTED AND RAN FINE THEN IF I WOULDN'T START MY CAR IN A FEW DAYS IT WOULD HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO OR NEED. THANKS

It's possibly the Alternator/regulator/stator or the battery. Seeing as how you got power from another vehicle and your car wanted to run. But left to it's own it doesn't seem to produce/keep it's own power.
