Car wont start

I have a1998 chevy malibu with a 2.4 I am having problem with the pass lock system the theft system light is flashing and the car won't start I have changed the ignition and it still will not start

Try cranking engine then leave key in run for ten minutes do this two or three times see if it relearns pass-lock if not you may need pass-lock senser replaced I just had same problem. Make sure you do this with orignal key
