Das chevy tie rod

I have 94 chevy truck, with 192.000 mi . How do i take off the tie rodends after the bolts are removed. I rented a special tool but it seems to not work.

I assume by the tool you mentioned it is a tie rod removal tool that looks like a tuning fork. In my experience, it takes a fairly heavy hammer to drive the fork between the tie rod end and the attachment to the wheel assembly. Especially, if the metal is rusted or corroded.
