1995 GMC Suburban--problem started when after I would start the vehicle and put it into reverse, it would immediately die. It would do this a couple times and then stay running. We thought it was the cap and rotor so we replaced it. Now it wont start at all. It seems that the engine is not getting fuel. So, we have tried to put gas into the throddle body and still cant get it to start. Battery is fully charged and there is gas in the tank. It was suggested that some part that links to the transmission is out of sync and needs replaced, but we are unsure what this really is and where it is located. Any help would be appreciated.

If the ignition system is working it would have fire up-do below

Disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors- Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it
