1997 GMC Jimmy Sputtering

My Jimmy shut off on me one day on my way to work didn't act weird or anything just shut off. I can get it to start every now and then and it will idle perfect till I shut it off. When I start to accelerate it starts to sputter and will only get to like 1500 rpm's. What can I try?

Possibilities: Inspect and test all the following listed below:

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Crankshaft position sensor
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.
