1995 GMC Jimmy 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I am having trouble installing new belt. My car no longer has the diagram for the installation, however I was able to find one online. I have A/C but it appears that the A/C has seized. (I cannot afford to repair at this time.) The pully no longer moves. Therefore I was told I can just route the belt for a car without A/C. Tried it belt too long and as I said pully no longer works. I measured belt to get approx. Size I need. 84 1/2 the auto parts store was only able to supply me 83 1/4. The belt is a little short. Is it possible to make it fit or would it be too tight? I need my car and cant afford to take it in. Please help me.

Two solutions, put a used compressor on it for 50.00 and be done with it, or order a compressor elimination pulley. Mouts right where the compressor does and is a dummy pulley, you will not have A/C this way. To give you the belt routing diagram, I need your engine size in liters. It's on a white label under the hood, or marked on the engine.
