2006 GMC Envoy check engine light

Engine Mechanical problem
2006 GMC Envoy 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 100376 miles

Check engine light keeps coming on when I reset the onboard computer with my obd2 car reader it says that my timing over advanced or system proformance (bank1)
the car runs great good on gas and lots of horsepower

what OBD II trouble code is coming up on the scanner? should be a code like P1234 etc..

Okay, there is a technical service bulletin about this issue. A TSB means this is a common problem with the specific make/model but it is NOT paid for by the dealer. The issue lies with the camshaft actuator solenoid which has screens on it that can become damaged and missing. Replacing this solenoid should fix the issue.
