Truck desc: 2000 GMC Sierra 2500, 147000 mi
Problem: Difficulty starting truck, takes 2-3 cranks to fire-up. Starts perfectly on a cold start, but reverts to bad starts during day. Strong fuel smell when truck is idling (burns rich). Idle is poor and truck sometimes shakes and stalls while sitting at an intersection.
Had the following replaced within last 60 days:
Plugs, wires, fuel pump
Plus, had fuel injection service

No improvement

also would like to add possible fuel filter, vaccum leak and fuel pump relay for the idling problem at intersections. could also have play wiht the rough starting. but then again the vehicle could be running like this due to the bad MAP sensor, as buzz says, causing the vehicle to run rich.
